How Shelter publishes money content

Financial content should make a decision clearer without pretending certainty where it does not exist. These standards apply to Shelter's educational pages, comparisons, calculators, and product explanations.

Last reviewed July 18, 2026

Standard 1

Useful before promotional

Each page should answer the reader’s question directly. Product claims must be clearly attributable to Shelter, while comparisons should explain meaningful tradeoffs.

Standard 2

Current, checkable information

Material facts are checked against product behavior, official documentation, or other primary sources when available. Time-sensitive comparisons are reviewed when they change.

Standard 3

No pay-to-rank placements

Shelter does not sell positions in its app comparisons. A commercial relationship, if one is ever relevant to a recommendation, must be disclosed on the page.

Standard 4

Honest product boundaries

We state what Shelter cannot do as well as what it can do. Shelter is read-only and does not move money or provide individualized financial advice.

Standard 5

Corrections stay easy

Readers can report a material error to support@shelter.money. We review credible correction requests and update the page when a correction is warranted.

Scope and responsibility

Shelter content is general education, not legal, tax, investment, credit, or individualized financial advice. Product availability and third-party terms can change; readers should confirm current details with the provider before acting.

Questions or correction requests can be sent to support@shelter.money.
